Dan Allen has spent his whole life in the construction and management of real estate projects. He was born in the small town of Gouverneur, in upstate New York.
Dan earned his B.S. in 1976 from St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York, studying Sports Medicine and Developmental Psychology. While attending SLU, Dan was highly active in athletics and was a member of the hall of fame team of 1976. An injury in football ended his chance to play professional football and changed his career path.
In 1977 Dan accepted a Property Manager’s position in Syracuse, NY. His duties included the supervision of renovation and managing several thousand sub-sidized and conventional apartments. Later Dan took a position with Reynolds Aluminum as a Vice President managing over 1 million square feet of commercial space and several thousand multifamily units of new construction in the Eastern and Sun Belt regions of the United States. During this time he received his Certified Property Manager, CPM, designation.
His travels often brought him to Florida where he developed a love for the beaches and climate. He and his family relocated to Tampa in 1984 and took a position with a large real estate management company where he supervised the management, construction or renovation of large projects.
Dan has always been an advocate of volunteerism and giving back to the community. He has served as the President of the Pinellas Apartment Association, Bay Area Apartment Association, Florida Apartment Association, Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Chapter 44 and as a Regional Vice President for Region IX of the National Apartment Association.
Dan’s commitment to quality professionalism has always been a basis for his volunteerism. He served as a certified instructor for the Apartment Association and IREM. He still continues to provide education by offering seminars for BAAA and contributing articles in the Bayline Magazine regarding issues that confront managers of the multifamily industry. In 2009 Dan was inducted into the Florida Apartment Association (FAA) Hall of Fame
In 2000 Dan opened Complete Climate Control, a full service HVAC Company, providing air conditioning service, indoor air quality concerns and mold inspection and remediation. He recognized that the multi-family industry as a whole needed someone to help further develop the technical skills of their staffs as well as be a company that the properties could rely on when there was the need for an honest and responsive Contractor.
Dan is an active member of the masonic fraternity, through JF Swartsel Lodge #251, and their philanthropic philosophy. He has achieved his 32 degree in masonry through the Scottish Rite and is a Shriner.
In addition to Dan’s previously held designations of CPM and CAPS, he is a Florida Real Estate Broker and Licensed Florida HVAC Contractor, Certified Air Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) through the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA), Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Mold Remediator and also holds the certification of CIAQM, Council-Certified Indoor Air Quality Manager.
Dan’s partner in his business is his wife, Teri Allen, also a veteran of the industry. In their leisure time they enjoy the spending time with their children and their families, which include 13 grandchildren and counting….At home they are continually entertained and kept busy with their 4 Labrador Retrievers; Daisy, Toby, Skittle and Smokey.
Teri Allen was born and raised in Savannah, GA. After marrying and starting a family in the 70’s, she obtained her Georgia Real Estate license and worked in a full service real estate company, Liberty Realty, in Hinesville, GA. In 1979 she took her first step into property management by assuming the position of Property Manager at Liberty Realty handling a diverse portfolio of rental properties.
In 1982 she accepted a position with Johnstown American Companies as Property Manager and relocated her family to Norcross, GA. She coordinated and completed the rehab and lease-up of a 272 unit community prior to being transferred by Johnstown to the Tampa Bay area where her supervision and management skills were instrumental in completing another large rehab. Soon afterwards, Teri was promoted to the role of Senior Property Management with a portfolio of over 3500 units in Central & South Florida.
Through the following years, Teri continued her growth in Property Management by, obtainiing her Florida Real Estate Broker's License. Teri Opened and still maintains an active real estate management corporation. She increased her professionalism by obtaining her Florida Community Association License (CAM) and Mortgage Broker’s License. Her dedication to continually improving herself lead Teri to achieve the prestigious Certified Property Manager (CPM), through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS), through the National Apartment Association.
She remained active within the real estate and property management industry and as a volunteer on many committee’s at the local, state and national apartment associations and with groups advocating that knowledge and education was paramount. She served as the President of IREM Chapter #44, were she was recognized as the CPM of the Year. Teri also served as President of the Bay Area Apartment Association (BAAA) and President of the Florida Apartment Association (FAA). She has been recognized numerously for her devotion to service in the apartment associations on the local, state and national levels.
In 2009, after over 30 years of her focus in property management, Teri joined forces with Dan at Complete Climate Control to help him strengthen the office procedures, train the staff and techs in customer service and relations. Teri is instrumental in implementing marketing programs, monitoring, and educating the Company's staff about the ever changing laws with regard county, state and federal legislation regarding the HVAC industry.
She & Dan are blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 4 Labradors which they enjoy spending as much time as possible with. She likes to remain active and loves crafting projects to include quilting, sewing and gardening. And for those that know her well she is a great cook and loves to share her enthusiasm for southern cuisine and her stories of growing up in the south.
Adam joined Complete Climate Control in 2010 and has become an integral part of the company. A native born Floridian from Jacksonville, he graduated from Gaither High School in 1996.
After high school Adam enrolled into PTEC, a technical college, four year program, where he honed his HVAC skills. Upon graduation Adam worked with large, local Tampa HVAC companies and was exposed to the commercial, residential and appliance repair and installation side of the business.
While working in the industry Adam obtained his State Certified Air Conditioning License in 2005. Adam operated his own business until 2008 when he re-enlisted into the Army.
Adam served two terms in the U.S. Army. As an active duty combat veteran he was involved with “Operation Iraqi Freedom” and “Operation Enduring Freedom” from 2008 -2010. In 2010 he was honorably discharged from service.
Adam enjoys spending time with his wife Selena and their four children Kelsie, Kailea, Nicholas and Koda.
